Mr Henry Tabi
Managing Director
Henry Tabi is the founder and Managing Director of Barbex Group. With over 30 years of experience, he brings unrivalled expertise that contributes to the company’s core competence and competitive advantage. Henry Tabi’s role in the Barbex Africa Projects Ltd. And Barbex Plantations Ltd. Includes developing long-term strategies as well as providing oversight for strategy implementation in order to achieve short, medium, and long-term goals.
Henry has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and has participated in a number of executive development programs abroad, including Witts and Henley Business School. A notable figure in the mining and agricultural sector, Henry Tabi is a member of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce and a strong advocate for growing Ghanaian-owned businesses.
Mary Asante-Asamoah
EXECUTIVE Director
Mary is the Executive Director of Barbex Group. Since 2008, she has held key positions ranging from Special Projects Coordinator to leading the Barbex Group’s successful operational restructuring. She is an executive MBA holder from Lancaster University and graduated with honours from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Global Studies.
As a business leader, she has a project management certificate and has completed various executive development programs in Strategic Management, Corporate Leadership, Corporate Planning, and Budgeting, Effective HR Strategies for Business Growth, and Quality Management, among others. A member of ‘Women in Mining’ Ghana and the Executive Women’s Network, Mary has a keen interest in the promotion of transgenerational family businesses.
