In our commitment to being a responsible corporate organization, Barbex Africa Projects Ltd has demonstrated its willingness to support our community in times of need. We recently made a generous donation of GH¢10,000 to Citi FM/Citi TV’s relief campaign, aimed at providing crucial assistance to individuals and families affected by the recent flood disaster resulting from the Akosombo Dam spillage.

The spillage of the Akosombo Dam brought widespread flooding to parts of the Volta Region displacing numerous residents and leaving them in dire need of assistance.

In the face of this crisis, Citi TV/Citi FM launched a campaign to solicit funds and relief items to help displaced persons. Barbex Africa Projects Ltd. swiftly stepped forward to provide essential aid through its substantial contribution.

Our generous donation not only reflects our dedication to the well-being of the community but also exemplifies our commitment to standing by the side of those enduring the hardships triggered by this natural disaster.

Jacqueline Johnson Quaye, Communications Manager of Barbex Africa, who led the team in making the donation on October 26, 2023, emphasized:

“At Barbex, we believe that our role extends beyond business. We are part of this community, and it is our responsibility to contribute to its well-being. This donation to Citi FM aligns perfectly with our corporate values of social responsibility and community support.”

Citi FM’s Nathan Quao received and thanked Barbex Africa for the donation saying:

We are grateful for the response from organizations like Barbex Africa Projects Ltd which will help us provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the floods. It is a reminder that we are all part of a larger community that stands together in times of need.”
